Romeo and Juliet : a series of paragraphs
choose from one of the following:
1. Romeo is the true protagonist of the play as he acts in the most mature and responsible manner throughout.
2. Juliet is the true protagonist as she acts in the most mature and responsible manner throughout.
3. All tragedies require a villain in the play. Tybalt is the true villain of this play as it is his actions which ultimately lead to the deaths of the protagonists.
4. Romeo and Juliet is not, in fact, a true tragedy but a play of fate in which the deaths of the protagonists are directly the result of fate, chance, and coincidence.
5. The Nurse or Friar Laurence or Capulet or Mercutio or the Apothecary was the minor character most responsible for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet.
